Not too many running shots. Hard to keep up. Make that impossible to keep up.
Met Ken from PropGods. This is his widdle boat. Nice guy.
Then a classic Formula
Squirt Boat
The Formula pictured here was Mr. Carl Kiekhaefer's boat. Formula made it special. It has been repowered but what a beauty for being made in the 70's. I think they were a little ahead of their time.
Beautiful boats. Wish I had one for sure. Interesting that there was only one Yamaha, one Evenrude, and two that I could not ID. All the rest were running Mercury engines. I think that says something. And that is, without a doubt, the most beautiful undercowl artwork I have ever seen.
That boat is "Dragon Fever". To call it a piece of art is to soft play its real credentials. There is a build thread on it over on S&F under jetboats. Nice guy. There were 4 people riding in the single bench seat of that boat. The big block is de-tuned to around 900hp. Capable of 1900 or there abouts by turning up the boost and running on fuel. Gear head overload this past weekend.. I believe he said $48K in motor parts alone.. Complete BDS fuel injection atop that huge blower. WOW!
I have like 70 pictures..
The flame job on the interior turns blue under the motor, seats are covered in dragon hide (alligator), The dragon on the front deck continues through to the rear. Pictures cannot do it justice..
Out of roughly 80 boats: 4 were OMC, 2 Yamaha, a set of I/O's including the big-block jet boat and 72 MERC's.
Only a couple of break-downs. BBQ was top notch every night.. Music, friends, weather, all near perfect.. I was the slowest by a dam sight.
Parked in the run of one of the many springs with my friend Bruce aboard the Wellcraft.
The Wellcraft flare eating a Hydrostream Venom.
