I am on the home strech now the V is almost done , I want to redo the deck paint .The original beige non skid is worn and faded with no grip at all . I want to keep the original color . Has any one ever used TUFFCOAT ar a similer product to redo there boat Thanks

There are a few threads on floor painting. Some like it good on there bear feet, others like me have boots on all the time so I want the grip.
I used Durabackl its sum tuff stuff and comes in a bunch of colors, smooth or with grit already in it, or add your own to make the way you like. But its not the cheapest!!

This material is just an idea. it is marketed as a roof coating but it is the same coating used for marine non skid. It is a smooth finish coating that is aliphatic meaning it is a straight chain, uv resistent and color retentive product. I have studied this product for about 6 weeks and spoke to reps and inspectors for my work and stutied M.S.D.S sheets and its the same product as Grizzly Grip http://www.grizzlygrip.com/5_Gallon_Aliphatic-details.aspx

The SRC product only comes in white it says that it needs a primer or a aromatic layer(grey color) but that only over EPDM membrane roofs. over fiberglass all you need is to apply the white (finish coat). It will take a stick of dynamite to remove it from your boat. Im using it on mine. the local rep gave me a free 5 gallon bucket of it. Im not trying to push this stuff but just call around locally and see if you can get your hands on it. It can be used for alot of things, john boat interior, camper roof and all kinds of stuff that needs water proofing. the rep said you can even use it as bedliner in your truck!!!

Just an idea, im a out of the box thinker!!!

I just re-did mine. I used Raptor liner, truck bed spray in bed liner. It says to apply at 40-60 psi, higher for smoother finish. I applied at 80psi and its just like the original finish. I bought the tintable kit and colored it lime green. I like it, very satisfied. Best $140 ever spent.

MJ was this fairly "sticky" or did it harden up? I would love to do mine with something that was barely cushy and a touch sticky.....

dry as a bone!! I used the stuff with the grit in it for non slip, but I have boots on all the time. I would not want to be on it barefooted! Buty you can add your own and make it as aggressive as you want. I have heard just a ruff roller would be fine on the feet. Its tuff stuff!!
