now that's a good looking ox

i've heard of cutting a plate out of the intermediate housing & putting a little heat on the drive shaft

Now, now, nice anchor errr, I mean..
Allright now, you've had enough time to get it put together and running.
How's it doin???

Unfortunately MJ is laid up in the hospital right now. He has a bad habit of using his body parts as tools and ends up doing more damage to himself than the object he's working on.
Last weekend when he was trying to drop the lower unit on his motor and it wouldn't come off, he decided to start kicking the motor. Now the problem with MJ is that his diabetes is so bad that he as very little, if any feeling in his extremities. He could cut his foot off and never feel it. Well, seems he was bleeding pretty good from his toe. He cleaned it up and bandaged it. He was told then by several family members and friends (including me), to go right to the hospital. I know him well enough that I didn't even need to see it. Just from what he described, I knew there would be an infection involved at the very least. But in his wisdom, he chose not to have it looked at.
Fast forward to Friday. MJ towed his boat up to BigShripmin's shop to do the motor change. Later that day he started getting the shakes and puking really bad. BS said enough, and drove him to the hospital. Turns out he broke his toe and got an infection from it. He sounded a lot better on the phone today than the previous two days. From what the doctor told him, he thought he was going home today, but he still had a little fever, so tomorrow is his release date.
Big Kudos to Tim for all he did for MJ. Hooking him up with a nice motor, removing the old and rigging the new motor on the boat. Driving MJ to the hospital, then finishing the job on his boat and driving it all the way back to MJ's house. Well done Tim
Wish I could have helped. Things were just too hectic for me to get over.

Thanks for letting us know.

Chum, I'm sure everybody around him has told him "he ain't no highschool brawler anymore, and needs to be even more careful being the combination of diabetes and age". Hell, I can't talk, I'm the same way, as most of us are.

MJ knows he has alot of friends around him, cause they are there now.

MJ, hurry up and get back to the boat, you're about the only one posting good fishing stuff lately!!

God speed on recovery.

Good luck MJ, and yes I have known many stubborn coots like you. Take care of yourself will ya.

And Tim, your a good friend, which in my mind anyhow, is one of the best compliments you can pay a man.

Good Job BS! MJ be careful dawg! Use a ball peen hammer next time. I promise it will be more effective.

The Ox is looking good though. Motor looks really clean and nice.
