Man I know yer pumped up about this boat and they are rare there and all that...but please don't pay this guy 18 grand for that boat...I've been watching these boats for YEARS now and there's NEVER been one worth anywhere near that much...I'm really a big fan of V-20s!!...but this is WAY over the top...and another thing...buying a boat before wet-testing it is VERY RISKY...I wish you all the best, but this seller is trying to hold you up...have one more sleep on it...

I agree with Reel. I know its tough if you have your heart on something and have cash in your pocket, but this is a big purchase and you should take your time.

I agree with the others about the price. A 20 year old boat should not cost more than 5-6 thousand dollars in top condition! Also boat motors run differently out of water than in the water, always test run for at least an hour to make sure it runs ok and does not run hot. Check the condition of the steering, electrical system, and engine controls. Before buying check (tap with rubber mallet, listen for hollow sound) transom and stringers and under the floor, very good. Look for leaks, oil ,gear oil ,water, gas etc. Use ALL your senses! Listen, Look ,Feel, Smell ect. When I bought mine it looked ok but I soon found out it was all rotted out! Most things can be fixed but require some time and money. Look for soft spots in the floor and on the hatches. Check out the trailer rollers or bunks, tires, wheel bearings, frame condition, lights and brakes if it has them. You may have something to bargain over. If you have doubts or questions, wait and ask us here maybe we can give you some sound advice. Good Luck!

ok a very big thank you to all u guys im up early cause i cant sleep im hearing u loud and clear my main concerns is the condition of the hull the mechanicail side im not to stressed cause if the engine is alittle tired im happy to rebuild my self it only makes it a better boat in the end and its only the cost of parts

as goes for the priceing i offered him 14500 fo it and he said 17500 is the lowest its about 7000 all up to get a boat shipped here and well if im in love with the look of the hull not much i can do about unless i cut my balls off

thid is a example ford here have a 302 celeland v8 the heads r only casted here u can get them for 50 bucks at junk yards ive seen them as much a 400 on ebay for sale in the states it goes with some imprted cars same thing im sure u no what im saying

as for the electronic kit i dont think we have suplliers for them here but i will look in to it maybe one of u nice guys can mail me one and ill wire u the money or list it on ebay and ill buy it lol

Well if you can get one shipped for 7K I'd start looking over here. For $7500 ($14500 total investment) you can get a pretty good V here I would think.

Isnt Nipper selling his boat?

hi if u r asking me if im single no im no married with 3 boys live on 30 acres why do u ask do my comeents sound of a young person lol

and i never listened to my moma

hey just thinking u think ill be back on later today crying o what have i done shouldnt got it welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll been saying that ever since i got married so it should be ok :fight:i told u not to buy it

Well, you were asking about buying an expensive boat, and then jump over into buying an expensive car.

Sounds a little wild and crazy.

:oh:

I'm married and my wild and crazy days are over.

Good for you!

wtf he called it of today again:fight:what a dickhead well i cant win this guy will never be able to sell this boat at the rate it better be good :nut:

G'day mate.. lookin out fer yer mate can be a full time occupation, if you catch my drift. That's what the guys here do. Think about it for a second before you pull the trigger.. $7000 fer shippin, leaves $7500 fer buying, and yer still $3500 or better to the good. Listen to the guys here.. they know a thing or two about these boats and the value of them. This guy you're buying from seems shifty to me. He's never where he's supposed to be, he's asking WAYYYYYY lover the book value, etc. I understand you love the boa's looks. We all do.. that's why this site is here.. But there's a fine line between a bargain and being taken. We just don't want to see you in the second catagory. :head:

well i hear what u r saying loud and clear the only problem is that then i have to relie on other people i no u guys said that u can help but we all have out our life comments and i dont want to be bothering people well who im i nobody to u guys yes i really apricate your offers but it could turn sour for u guys as well
from when the boat leaves u guys alot of things can happen to it
i did look around theres not many for sale up your way but in time so may turn up
i will have to wait and see tomorrow at least now i have his adress and a time if he dont turn up ill back my f100 into anythink of his that i can make damage on
if its not good i will look into importing one but i affraid of all the problems

thanks guys

:sand:opps didnt see your fence there

Hey Aussie, have ya looked on Craigslist? Look up Craigslist, go to cities and look under Virginia at Hampton Roads. Type in Wellcraft V20 in the search and hit>. Theres a bunch listed at good prices! Check it out.
