This a description of the action aboard The Christy II last Friday by a buddy of mine...HANG ON!!...
Beautiful day on water,caught six 20 to 30lb dophin,then a nice wahoo.Hank (hammers new son-n-law) was sitting in chair,when he hollers there is a porpoise on the right teaser,Jeff knowing that it was NO porpoise drops back the flat,big Blue jumps on it !!Hank fights the fish for 55 minutes,during the fight,with the fish coming close to the boat.There is a dolphin jumping beside the boat,he is hooked up on the bridge pole.Now we have a 25 lb dophin and big marlin swimming behind boat.HOLY SH!T!!Hammer driving ,me and Jeff are trying to keep the two fish from tangling up.I leader the phin,Jeff sticks him, throws it in the cockpit.Now the Marlin is at the back of the boat,with the dolphin flopping around in the boat.Back to Blue!When Jeff grabs the leader,the main line breaks!He gives me the end and we handline a 350 lb Blue marlin to the boat.Jeff bills the fish and it proceeds to whip his ***!I go around him to get lure out of his mouth,when jeff loses a glove,the marlin turns his hand in to hamburger meat,has to let Go!Fish swims away with a Billy Bait and twenty feet of leader in his jaw.Wow, now THAT was a Chinese fire drill !!!!One of the most memorable trips for the four of us on board.Have not got pictures,yet.will send them when.
