Nicest CC out there

I wonder why he is selling ???

W/a 250 Merc and a full-width SS bracket, I bet it's because the tranny sits so low in the water at rest or trollin', tha scuppers don't work...BEAUTIFUL craftsmanship, no doubt and I don't wanna take anything away from that, but there are no "in-water" shots...that's 'bout GOTTA be an issue
::) ...

RAP,

Good point. You're making me feel better about not going after it :-)

Do you think it dawned on him too late into the project? That would be a bummer of a thing to discover after completing the overhaul...

How much help does the flotation in that bracket help out?

so long as we are being critical................ I don't like the way the bracket mates up to the transom. It looks theres some gaps. I still would love to have it.

Schicks,

I noticed that too. Seems like they forgot to drill some holes and run some bolts.

Not sure, but I get the impression that the guy may buy boats and turn them around to sell. I noticed that he has another boat he's selling.

If you notice, our transoms are curved. It seems to be a unique feature. It is very difficult to find a full width bracket that mates up perfectly to our boats. MJ (I think) said he had to fill the gaps on the ends when he installed his bracket.

Fray, indeed that's true, but MJ knew to fill the gap. On a boat as nice as the one being sold, you would think they'd go the extra mile to make it look nice... After all, everything else looks cherry.

Plus, if (granted, this may not be the case) the guy bought the bracket and platform for that boat, they can get a fairly close fit since they ask for specifications upon placing your order. MJ said that the gap on his was from not having the correct bracket and platform.

All that to say, that I certainly wouldn't have allowed that to keep me from buying it if I had the money... It's still a beautiful boat.

I agree with all you guys said, but I will tell you from experience on some bracket V's with big blocks on them, especially without the weight of the cuddy to balance it out that thing is going to sit very low in the transom and he will be thnakful he has a full transom. He won't be able to do anything about the engine being dunked though.
Appearance wise it is gorgeous.
Makes me mad, can you imagine with all the clone boats out there now if Wellcraft re-introduced that boat with modern materials and one to two feet longer. Kept the same hull just extended it. My God is no one there at Wellcraft got any brain cells floating around in their heads.

Willy, you're right on the money on all counts.

I still don't know how mine is going to sit in the water, but I'll know soon enough, Lord willing. ;)
