New Orleans update...

I was just talking buddy of mine that works for a contractor out here. He went to Iraq for about 18 months and got back just before Katrina hit. He was then sent as part of the team that went to New Orleans to shoot thugs. He said things are REALLY bad over there. He told me he was after a band of thugs that were looting and robbing some of the neighbors in a specific neighborhood down there. He never caught them and they finally fled the area but I thought one comment he made was very interesting. He said they had shoot to kill orders and that the rules of engagement for New Orleans were much easier than Iraq. In NO, if they were armed..SHOOT THEM, period. :shock:

Anyone who walks around an American city armed and terrorizing, robbing, bullying honest hard workin people should be shot on sight......easiest way to rid our country of such parasites. I feel the same way about anyone who runs from the police in a high speed chase...blowing red lights and endangering me and mine..as soon as they run out of gas, blow a tire, blow a light and hit a soccer mom, whatever stops them, they should be drug out of thier car, held till a news helicopter shows up on scene to broadcast it, then executed on the street and left to rot......

I'll get on my soap box for a second, do you know what really scares me, what the New Orleans Mayor and politicians did in New Orleans to citizens. Went to their homes searched door to door and removed citizens personal firearms they had for protection. Dragged old ladies out on the street handcuffed them because they refused to surrender their only means of defense. Seized these peoples property violated their rights, left them defensless in a nightmare situation.
The really scary part- they are still alive - still in power - and the media has not even reported what went on.
That my friends is why this country is falling apart. As a population we have turned into sheep. So this Christmas I am going to ask the good Lord for one special present. That the people in this country are given back the balls our grandparents had.

ditto to that! When the riots were going on in Paris, I was discussing with my Dad (a retired Dallas cop) the situation and why it wouldn't happen here. Because anyone trying to do the same here would get shot. Take the guns away and that deterent is gone. Poof. Then the law breakers have the advantage.
