need a motor

I need a motor for my McKee, looking in the 65 -75 hp range. 20 inch shaft, tilt and trim, remote helm. I would prefer a fresh water motor if available, I'll take a project motor if the price is right. I would like to stay with the big three(Johnrude, Merc,Yamaha) for parts availability. I need a deal, I work on boats for a living, that means I don't have any money. Allways open for parts for trade, just let me know what you're looking for

How's about it spare?
A couple of more popped up in my area in the last few days.
Moe money but better lookin, with boat and trailer.

you guys are funny, thansk for the effort, but i've got some issues trhat need to be taken care of right now, I'm going to have to put the boats on the back burner for a while

I only posted about half of the 70 Johnsons I found for sale on CL....they must have sold a ship load of those things in NC.

Hope its nothing major keeping you from boats. Anything we can help you with SP?

thanks for the offer, just got a lot of stuff weighing on me right now, glad you guys are here, gives me some place to escape sometimes

Tsubaki, I always wanted a renkin from rincon, if not, then maybe a polar fom pooler.

Keep your chin up Spare. After labor day prices aren't too far away.

found a blown up 60 merc today for $200 with a clear title, it acts like one of the liners slipped down and hit the crank. I'll have to tear it down to figure out exactly what it needs.

This is a 1973 model that runs great and has been well maintained. The motor controls are included as well as 2 gas tanks 6 & 12 gallon. I can run it for anyone who is interested, call (478) 994-1890 or my cell (478) 808-6671.

just tore the 60 merc down this afternoon, just as I thought, it had over heated and the top sleeve has slipped down. The other two cylinders are scored. A good freind of mine has three of these blocks laying around, so I should be able to scrounge soemthing together.

yeah, add in $100 for gas driving up there. I figure at least I will know what I have with this one, besides, its a bigger displacemnt engine than the one in the add. thanks anyway
