Posted about a month ago but had no pictures. This boat will end up white white with dk blue accents. Hope you like photos like I do yours. Let me know if I drive you crazy with pics - I'll stop (maybe!)

Keep 'em comin' O Wise One...I haven't heard of any of these guys OD-ing on too many pictures of V20s yet... ;) 8)...

You gonna yank the I/O and go bracket or keep the V-8...looks to be in pretty good shape... :)...

goin' by the rod-box pics from earlier, you're well ahead of the "ready for paint" pic above...

Thanks - appreciate the insperation. I'm in the middle of so much it's gettin overwhelming. Painted the engine box, rod boxes, transom hatches, and the two part slide hatch. I'm feeling like this thing just might amount to something. The big test will be the main paint job - that's just around the corner along with lot's of sanding.

Looks very nice. I'm going through the same thing right now, it is quite overwhelming. What did you use to remove the bottom paint, what are you using for paint? It looks great.

Wise Guy...have you seen the "ROLL-OVER" pics...guys, who was that who rolled his hull over to paint it?...looked like it worked pretty good...just gotta remember to take all the beer outta the boat first... ::)...

"Skipper a Wellcraft Naked"...Hmm...sounds like over exposure to the dreaded Norton Snagger to me... :o...

The stripper for bottom paint that worked the best is called 'Bix'. They have several varieties - I got the spray on (comes with a spray bottle) - this one is in an orange can and specifically says approved for fiberglass on the front. Worked VERY well - let it sit maybe 15-20 and paint melted. Any stickers and there gone too. MUCH better than the stuff I started with. Might be something like $15 for a gallon at HD. Unless you'll paint again with anti fouling, sanding is still needed to get white, but not bad at all after 98% of that paint is gone. Another product recommendation (again from HD) is 'Krud Kutter' - cleans like crazy.

North Coast - south shore of Lake Erie.

Spraying - primer tommorrow

Thanks

WG when you get her done will have to meet at Frosty's for a few cold ones! Boat looks reel good, keep posting photos. Bill Mc ;D From the North Shore of Erie.
