I love it CB . I don't really have anything else to compare it to but the stability and room is awesome, plus my butt stays dry in any kind of sea condition. I was concerned about the speed but have been pretty happy so far. It tracks straight without a rudder and isnt really that slow or hard to paddle. I think the key to paddling the FnD is the 240Cm Werner Touring paddle. With a yak width of 36" the longer paddle really makes a big difference. My wife and father have both tried it an really liked it so I'm looking for a second yak for them. I just missed out on another FnD on the Bassbarn last week. It sold for $200 with a seat and paddle to the first guy who replied.
As far as rigging I have only mounted 1 Scotty mount in the center where the large rectangular hatch usually goes. Its not in the way while paddling and its a flush mount so I can remove the rod holder when I want. I have only caught a few fish from the yak and can honestly say I have had just as much fun on the yak this year as I have the V.
