Well had a offer on the table for a job outside of Tallahassee and couldn't pass it up so looks like me and the fam including the v are heading into uncharted waters. I know there are a few guys that live up in the panhandle hopefully I can find some good spots to take the ole boat. Looks like I'll for sure have less lakes to run in. Anyone have any info on some good places to run/fish up here? Thanks in advance!

welcome to the other florida. your going to be about 40-60 miles from salt water, lotta good fishing between appalach and lanark village. if you can, try to get some place on the south side of town, not a bad run to shell point, alligator beach, st marks. plus horseshoe and keaton over toward perry.

100 miles from panama city so mi numbers, su numbers

don't forget fsu football

Yeah we just got a house north of town close to Havana. Love the area but agree it's different so I get the "other Florida" reference. Maybe sometime we can meet up! Can't wait to get out on the water up here and see what it's all about!!

not much of a freshwater guy, too many stumps & snakes. if your close to havana, your north of I-10, so i"m lost up there. i do know there is no place in florida colder in the winter and hotter in the summer than tallahassee.

my daughter worked at the west marine over there while she was in college and said there were as many salt water guys as freshwater, so sounds like you have the best of both worlds.

also curbside bbq on north copeland has the best fried conch north of key largo.

twenty to fifty not sure exact number but there are a lot. If you are interested there is a group in that area called the Flint River Groto. good group of people with a lot of experience and when not caving the group does a lot of boating and hiking. Several of there members live in Havana area thats were we stay when in the area.
