Hello everyone. We have just completed an important security upgrade to this community and a critical element has changed.

Some members of WellcraftV20 may have created accounts with vulnerable passwords that are the same as their user name. Such passwords make accounts vulnerable to exploitation from automated scripts and programs that can guess the password to access the site under the guise of the affected users. This may be done for the purposes of spam, online identity theft, or just some plain old script kiddie having a little fun in your name. While a password that is the same as your user name may be simple for you to remember, it is not worth the risk to do it.

Accordingly, with this upgrade, members may no longer create accounts with a password that is the same as their user name, and existing members with weak passwords will be prompted to change their current password the next time they login.

Secure passwords always consist of at least 8 characters and include at least two of these three types; special characters such as (!, $, &), numbers, or uppercase letters. You are not required to adhere to this convention on this site, but it is the recommended practice by online security experts.

We are not aware of any member having been affected negatively by this, but since this is an unavoidable part of the upgrade, it is a good idea to make your password as secure as possible.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Thanks for all you do to make the WellcraftV20 community safer and more fun for everyone.
