Well it was a great day, spent with a bunch of nice people!

CB & I left the boat ramp about 11am, CB drove the boat as I was not feeling all that well today(Thank's CB!!) The forecast said 5 to 10 NE seas 1 foot or less. But they lied, as usually they were wrong!
I bet it was going 15 easy and the water was pretty lumpy on the way over. We got to the entrance of Woods Hole and saw Road King, and hooked up with him and went the rest of the way.
When we got there Rwilson was already playing i n the water with the kids. Gave him the anchor, he stuck it on the beach, and we tied the rear to his boat. Road King did the same but tied to my boat. After a while Monkey Butler showed up and tied to Road king. The gang was all there!!
We started to cook the food, my grill would not stay lit for some reason?? But after everyone was eating I was able to figure it out in part,if i left the cover up just about 1/2 inch it was fine and I could eat!
Wilson had some Tuna steaks he passed around, and some peanuts that everyone loved!
Road King wife passed around crackers, cheese, cherries, and shrimp cocktail!!
Monkey Butler played the grill master, as his stayed lit. CB got sick of waiting for mine to cook and got some dogs from MB (trader) But h eat a burger from me after I was able to get it to cook.
Everyone seemed to have a great time, played the radio and talked for a while, but 5pm came pretty fast and it was a 1 hour boat ride for us & Road King so owe hit the road said good bye and we were off till the next time.

So here are a few pic's and everyone took some so I am sure they will post hen they get a chance.

Glad we finally pulled it off. Thanks for showing everyone.

Glad everyone had a good time. Sorry MJ could not join y'all, i guess the new grill was more important.

Rob how are the bimini rod holders working out?

About that grill :shut: :bat::fight: It was for free, now I know why!!

But in the end I won!! I had to lift the cover about 1/2 a inch to make it stay lit? Why, have no idea but it worked great after that, so now I know the next time!

Just got back home Sunday night. Great people and great pics!

I am beat and burnt but happy as a pig in sheet. Me and sun don't mix like the Pillsbury Doughboy and a pizza oven.

Will post more when I recover.

Oh, and my transducer said water was more like 74 degrees. Pansies.

Glad others got good pictures. I has having "technical difficulties" with my wife's underwater camera while swimming out and getting from the water shots before the current dragged me away. And yes, water temp around 74 seemed correct, it was very nice. I too was pretty beat at the end of the day as we had plans to take the bike out to go to dinner.

Very nice to see MJ again. Sure enough I recognized his boat when we were arriving at woods hole, but had to ask "who are you?" But skinny MJ was hiding behind a pole.

Finally met Chumbucket, looks good for an old guy. I guess I still think 57 is old even though I am a few months away from 55.

Monkey Butler, nice to to meet you, glad you were able to show up (and not just for the use of your grill).

And of course I got to meet Rob (rwilson), great people!!!!

How does MJ only allow nice people in the forum?

Ok, here are my sorry pictures:

Looks like you guys had a blast. Well done.

Rob, I second MB's question. How are those bimini top rocket launchers holding up? They look great. I may have to buy a unit for my boat.

Looks like a great raft-up guys!!...w/all the new(to me) faces, we need a FaceBook type tag...But no problem IDing those Wilsons!!...that clan has made the rounds this year from NC/SC (yes we did ride down into SC one day...)all the way up to MA!!...w/a Tice's Shoal stop-over along the way...miles and miles of smiles and smiles...

Good to see everybody hadda good time and MJ and CB got out to mingle...MB and RKC..man I'll catch up w/you guys sooner or later!!...

How come Newfie gets to go MA and not NC??...I bummed out...lol!!...

Well made it back in one piece without too many misadventures. Left Friday am for the drive to East Falmouth, 280 miles. Took us just under 6 hours door to door with no issues but the occasional traffic slow downs here and there.

Arrived at our acommodations and launched our boat and tied off. Took a little cruise Friday afternoon to check out the lay of the land.

Saturday morning headed over to Waquoit Bay to meet up with the Massholes. And in case you guys were wondering they all have New England accents....All things considered though I can understand them a whole lot better than that group I met last year in South Carolina!....Dont know why you guys cant all talk like us.

I felt a little bad that they changed the location at the relatively last minute to accommodate my location because like MJ said there was nice breeze going and they all had a nice ride to the Bay heading right into it. The rest of the guys wrote it up pretty good....RKC and his wife know how to pack food for a day on the boat. Beer was cold weather was good. Was great to meet everyone. And don't think that CB wasn't getting a kick out of watching his pal trying to light and relight his grill!

Sunday based upon recommendations from the group we decided on Martha's Vineyard for a day trip. Took the boat over about 11:00 AM and into Oak Bluffs Harbor. It was my first experience mooring up like that which was fun. As it was crowded you basically moor up to any city mooring ball that has less than 4 boats. We were moored up with a couple and their dog who had been there all weekend. Had a couple of beers with them and then had the launch take us over to the dock to see the sites. Kids enjoyed the Carousel, good lunch at some Ale house, some shopping and then back to the boat for another beer and hanging out with our mooring mates. The weather had gone from pretty good to spectacular by the end of the day. Had a nice flat ride home.

My only misadventure was as it was so flat we took a ride east for a little bit to check out the shore line. I was cruising along at a pretty good clip not at all close to shore but closer than I had been all weekend. It was paralleling a nice sandy beach, no jetties or rocks in site when all of a sudden there was one of those mystery bumps that seem to come out of nowhere with no real explanation. Didnt think much of it (although I moved a little further out than I was). Well the next day I pulled the boat out to go home and found about 2" of my skeg completely sheared off. No prop damage in the slightest just a nice jagged horizontal tear across the skeg. Fortunately it was not worse. Just have to add $100 to the cost of the trip for the skeggard I just ordered.

I'll have to get some more pics off my wifes phone when I have a chance but here are a few.
