manual

You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant.

(or, you can try eBay for most any kind of manual)
But it would really help if we knew what you were looking for. :head:

Manuals for engines or components are usually available on e-bay or from the manufacturers website.

Owners manual for the boat - good luck with that, I bought mine from the original owner who was an engineer. He kept every slip of paper pertaing to the boat, no owners manual!!

if you are going for an engine maunal, get the one that is specific for yours, not a seloc or clymer(sp?) that covers everything from a 2 hp to a 200hp for 10 years.

oops

they are ok about explaining 2 stroke theory and very general basics, but for specific task on your motor, you are better off with the factory literature.

start prob

Ok I traced my prob to the starter selonid the one that is alone. I jumped across the two end points and it started the eng..

Its a SAE J1171 Marine.

Is there a match out there in boat land?

TIA

check for power on the red wire at the solenoid with the key at rest, check for power to the small yellow/red wire on the solenoid when the key is turned to the start position, if you have power to the small yellow/red wire when the key is turned, you should hear a click, if not, check to see if you have power coming out of the solenoid(large yellow/red wire) when hte key is turned, lastly, check to see if hte black wire on the solenoid is grounded. IF you don't have power going thru the solenoid, its probably bad

no start

Ok the volt reg tested bad so I bought a new one installed and :clap:it turned over, but wouldn't start. So I checked for gas at the carb, no gas.

Pulled off the pump cleaned out the bowl and put it back together. went and got some gas for the tank. Still no gas at the incoming line so I did the mouth thing.

Now I got gas at the pump and I'm turning it over it catches cause I put some gas down the throut but now the turn of the key does NOTHING again:cen:.

Its back to square one again with the ign key stuff...

no start

Ok, I found out why It starts and then turn key and nothing, there is a big round, black plug and on that same board is a red reset button, well that plug keeps coming out as the eng turns over.

Any one tell how that is normaly held in? a clip some wire, elect wraps?

also changed the fuel line it was old and brittle. Still no gas at the fuel pump...

I have not got it to start yet still working on it...

take note of that electrical plug, it will not be the last time you look at it. Sounds like your fuel pump may be bad, hook an outboard primer bulb to the rubber fuel line and see if you can pull fuel from the tank, that will let you know if you have a blockage from the tank
