First a story I got a great deal on a 73 step lift (free from my boss)that is solid but needs alot of work. It had been store for the last 10 year and is a dirty as they come . Right now im looking for a slider cover (think that is what its called) and the two teak rails that go beside it. Does anyone have these items for sale or know where I can find them? Ive looked on ebay and cant seem to find them.

Paul, if your idea is to restore as original, then continue search for the slider...they are rare and hard to find...we really don't see many and I've been here since '03.

On the other hand, we have many times talked of making a slider of Starboard and I've thought also of making the rails of Starboard as well...I really don't think it'll be too difficult if you are handy w/carpentry tools...the only tricky part will be making it "seat" when closed as the center window closes on top of it...

Post your request in General Section also as many folks don't look in Classified

Thanks for the info kinda thought that would be the case with not seeing any on ebay. The place making the cover for the boat said something about making a snap on cover for it guess ill go with that for now.

You might want to think about fastening w/velcro instead of snaps...

the sliding hatch......the holy grail of used V-20 parts

Yep!!...seems like somebody handy w/fiberglass woulda made a mold by now...hard to find and when ya need one ya need one, but honestly over the years I don't recall a whole lot of requests...

what happened to the member that was going to make rear hatch drop in-bins, rear hatch lids, sliders, etc? he had a fab shop of some sort i thought.................

Ideally I think it would work best to have both snaps and velcro. Snaps hold better and velcro keeps water out better. My buddy has a grady white w/ full enclosure and the enclosure has snaps and velcro. I really like it the way it keeps the wind and water out and wish mine had the velcro addition.
