LIFTED HER SKIRT

Sorry guy's, just boring 200 H.O. Etech stuff here 😆 Once and a while I like to "pop" the hood and inspect things that may become a problem out there. Didn't spot anything out of the ordinary today. Just a clean 700 hour engine.

Don’t apologize you got me with lifting her skirt. The only thing that concerns me is that I like looking under her skirt / shroud too. Very clean. Nice. My 150 mercury is very dirty but I don’t know how to clean it. I don’t want to spray a degreaser on it cause I’m afraid I will damage her. But yours is clean.

spray it down with degreaser, just don't spray water in the carbs. All the electronics are sealed. Leave it in the sun with the cowl off and it will dry pretty quick. I do it all the time

Degreasers will clean well but will dry out rubber hoses, plug wires, plastics etc. The Cleanse products secret is mink oil. Try it and thank me later.

hit it degreaser, spray it off with water, after drying, spray CRC 656 over everything. I do this to every outboard I service, have been doing it this way for 38 years, over 100 motors a season

Saturate it with degreaser, spray the entire engine with water. Won’t the water get into the electrical system? Then last thing spray it with CRC? Then let it dry? And it won’t hurt anything? I trust your opinion

spray it down with degreaser, you dont need a lot, no need to saturate it, also, cut your degreaser with water 50%, it works better that way. Just hit the areas that need cleaning. On two strokes I make sure to get the pan area below the powerhead. Hose it off, but dont go crazy, keep the water out of the air intake and the starter, the rest of the electronics are sealed. Let it dry, start it up and when you're done, spray crc656 on everything, dont get it in the starter

I take a cheap paint brush and work the degreaser into nooks and crannies LIGHTLY then rinse off with a zep spray bottle w water. Also make sure any debris u wash down to pan doesn’t block the drain holes.
