God
noun
1. generous bestowal of gifts...
The largesse continues w/the '84 project V...when she came home last week, she had running motor, new HD power harness from motor to battery, new top-tier fuel bulb, new NFB 4.2 steering, new control cables, new water pump and lower unit bearing seal...all that, but the control lever had no trim & tilt switch...
So I rummage thru the home stash and low and behold, there's a faceplate w/a T & T switch in it...but remembering back, it doesn't work as it came off the '74 long ago when it still had the old '86 150 Rude cuz it quit working...
I went to the local BRP dealer where I've spent years and $$ establishing a pretty good relationship w/the guys there...went straight back to the shop and asked the head tech if that switch could still be ordered or if we had to order faceplate to get it...he goes over and picks a box and pulls out a working used one and says , Here, take this one...puts a meter on the leads and makes sure it still works....all I gotta do is figure out how to mount it cuz the little bracket is missing that holds it in place...get home, take all apart and realize the little tab-bracket that holds the switch in place is separate, not made on to the switch...heck, it all went back together, butt-connected the wires and worked perfectly...
The "largesse" continues via that little switch and that tech's generosity...
Wet Test...coming soon!!
