Kings out of Savannah

Jodi (my girl) and I and Clay Boykin went out on an "iffy" weather day and it paid off! We rode parallel to a very nasty storm for five or six miles. Lines in and it dumped on us. It seemed to break up right on top of us and then the sun came out and did it's thing.

Three very large king mackerel made it to the fish bag. Jodi and I caught one about the same size (30 Lbs.) . Hers was a little fatter though. Clay was patient and being a gracious host, let us pick up the first two. The biggest king (40) came when it was his turn......

Thanks

Do a little striper in the winter in the sav river. Not much though.

I hope to have my T-Top on the whatknot by next week. Going to cudjoe key the following week. Very excited, but need to work on my trailer. It's prolly the one that came with the boat. Continental. I have made two 3.5 hour trips without a problem, but 11 hours might be different.

I do have roadside assistance, but what do you get at Midnight anyway? Thinking about replacing two hubs and keeping the older for spares on the road.

Then, I have to convince my woman to drive the whole way so I can drink heavy, pass out, and wake up to my dog lickin my face in the keys...

Good idea on fixing up the trailer. I replaced tires and bearings before a keys trip and got to limp home on a half-busted spring. 10-12 hours of constant travel will work out all the bugs. Drive safe and take some pics!
