So on kind of a whim, my little one (24 years old) hopped in the car, (1st week of January) and drove (auto train) down to Florida. AAHHH……… It was pretty much low 70s but we missed some serious winter weather while down there. Basically, we drove around to places that were interesting to him. I wanted him to have fun. Fishing. Snorkeling. (A touch chilly, but still better than New York) we stayed in my/mom’s condo and basically spent a long and very expensive vacation. We were down south for about a month. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! So, I suppose it was time. My big guy (27 years old) came down for a week and we did what we could with the weather we had. Anyway, we once again got on the auto train and headed home. Well, it’s fu@kin’ cold here. Not just cold, but otherworldly cold!
Anyway, it was a taste of things to come. My wife has about two more years of work, and THAT’S IT!!
Anyway, it was gorgeous and expensive and warm and perfect!!!
 
Sure Jan.in Florida is great what about the other 11 months. Hot hot hot. Up here in nj we get the four seasons. Sure winter sucks especially this winter but what about the spring,summer and fall. Beautiful. 🤩 and Florida? Hot hotter and hottest but th3 fishing and boating is top notch. I just know if we leave we are not coming back I guess we are staying put. And by 5he way. We are expecting 12 inches of snow tomorrow. Now that sucks
Isn’t it great to be young. If I did what your son did I would b3 in bed sleeping for a week

There's also those daily afternoon thunderstorms, which, are maybe welcomed if it is hot hot. I will say it is beautiful down there, and for me at least - it is a nice place to visit.

I'm good where I'm at - I like my 4 equal seasons. :)
