Everyone has a right to protest, would defend it to the end.
Not everyone in the so called occupy protests are being paid, but a good number are, they were being hired thru craigs list, thru postings on the socialist party web sites, on move on dot org's web site and on bulletin boards in AFLCIO Union halls, will get 11.50 an hour for their participation.
Many are there due to a call to arms by Obama connected organizations to raise hell in the streets and cause trouble to put pressure on those in D.C to pass is so called jobs bill which even democrats would not pass as it is a 1.5 trillion dollar tax bill that does nothing but pay out more to his union soldiers9as they like to call themselves)
Some are there because it is the thing to do on many college campus's as the same Obama minions promoted it heavy at these campus's.
I feel bad for anyone who gets hurt at these things. I feel especially bad for the over one hundred police officers that have been injured by these mobs when they decide to rampage thru the streets.
I feel bad for the residents, and the buisnesses who are dying because these protesters have been allowed due to their political connection to the democratic party to CAMP OUT, set up mini cities, destroy property threaten residents etc.
To answer your question bluntly, protest, when things get out of hand do not partake or suffer the consequences when mobs roam.
