Amen and I hope that everyone had a safe and terrific Independence Day celebration.

We headed out as is our tradition at around 6 PM on the 4th with a cooler full of provisions to watch the local fireworks display(s). Our favorite which is traditionally held just a mile from our marina was cancelled, so we went south where we thought we could view several from a distance. Anchored and commenced to enjoy the shows. After a while I noticed that there seemed to be a really good show back in the direction of our marina, so we pulled up the anchor and headed that way. Came to find that a resident who has a dock on the creek (river) just a few doors from the entrance to our marina was putting on a heckova show from his dock! He must have paid a professional because it was a quality show with very few lulls and it went on for around 30 minutes. We could have watched it from our boat without even leaving the harbor! Very cool. When it was over we docked, unloaded the boat, flushed the engine and rinsed down the boat and were on the road home before 10 PM. A great evening.

Now it's back to work!
