im gonna build plywood boat.

Well after I'm done with the V I was gonna build another motorcycle but I have decided that I need a boat for my 25 HP rude. I have decided that I'm gonna do a glue and stitch plywood dory. Has anybody else on here done such a project? Shes gonna be simple, that's why I'm going with a flat bottom design.

look on charleston fishing.com there has a been a couple of stitch and glue flats boats built on there. I think they used Glen L plans

Here's what I'm aiming for. I even have a old carolina skiff console, steering Tele flex helm and wheel ,controls and all for my 25 HP. Just need some plans!!!

Last place I lived (Wayne, NJ) my next door neighbor had an 18 foot ladybug boat w/9.9 Merc on it. We took many a lake trout, crappie and bass with that thing...Very stable, very solid boat. Highly recommend it if you're thinking about building one.

I have been thinking about the same thing if my V20 rebuild goes ok. Either a flat bottom Carolina Skiff style boat or a kayak or both. For my boat build I was going to wing it and just get some measurements off aluminum boats and copy and papasize it.

Kracker, do some research on the Simmons Sea Skiff, they have quite a following, plans are available from the Carterret County Tech School(Wilmington NC). It may be a little more challenging than Ben Garvey type, but the results are worth it as they are very sea worthy and don't take a lot of hp to push them

I cant believe I forgot the Simmons! I have been fishing on a replica 20 and a 1960's 17 the past two years with a friend. I like them and they ride decent.
