Has anyone used an Hvlp turbine unit? If so what unit, how many stages, what have you sprayed with it. what materials have you sprayed? Automotive coatings, base coat ,clear coat, lacquers , latex paints ,stains. I'm looking for a unit and I'm extremely torn on 3 different units. Let me know thanks!

I just run a Sata HVLP gravity feed, I don't do enough to justify a true HVLP. I painted two 34ft parasail boats with it.

The Sata's I understand are the top of the heap for use with a large compressor. I Have an old titan three stage turbine that I
used for lacquers and the like on cabinets but it's very tired. I need to get a new unit most likely with a fourth stage , I was just hoping maybe somebody had some feedback on them, the only reason I'm looking for a four stage is a figure if I'm going to spend the money on a new system I might as well get one that has the atomization to spray automotive coatings like clear coats. I don't paint cars on a normal basis mind you. It's just that I picked up this little 2001 run around 4.0 Ford ranger for absolutely no money and it has 60,000 miles on it and runs like a top. But the outside was abused and I'd really like to repaint it. my children and my grandchildren have nicknamed it Hooptie! I've got a new Dodge ram that actually just sit in my driveway and has almost no mileage on it . So yes I admit I'm a little obsessed with Hooptie. I'm going to pull the trigger on one of these units before the week is out though, thanks for getting back David.
