He said in the comments section that there was plenty of oil, just that is was so clean that it was hard to see in the poor quality video. Said that there was a bit of a mess to clean up afterward. As to the water, he wasn't running it long enough to do any damage. Barely got warmed up if it was a cold block, and he said that was the first start after the rebuild. Terrible video though....:head:
 
I agree with you Destroyer. Years ago we ran a A-GAS dragster dry block. Start up, burn out, quater mile pass. That engine in the vidio didn't even get warm!

ok so there will be no heat marks or glazing in the bore from the hot pistons when he turns it off anyway i wouldnt do it to my new engine or a costmers
 
looks like cooling system was on engine and probably full of coolant just no water run to heat exchanger it would take a wile to overheat.
