Willy, my best friend has had back problems for a long time now. He has some kind of surgery a while back but apparently it wasn't successful. He's 33 years old and has a couple of bulging discs. This new doc he's at right now says he can take away 75% - 90% of his pain by doing a surgery to replace the two bad vertabrae with artificial.

I'm not sure if the surgery is the same as the one you had, but when I told my bud about you and your surgery he said he might want to chat with you. I've been trying to get him on the board for a while now. Maybe he'll hop on sometime soon so you can share some info with him.

By the way, how are you doing with it?

Thanks,
Blue

Hey Blue doing a little better, if his doc says he is surgical for relief and he has tried all other options like I did he will know when it is time to do it. I didn't have any choice.
The artificial disk replacement is fairly new in this country and is available now for lower back problems only. Still in the trial stage for cervical which is where my problem was at. Plus I needed more than one done so it would not be available for me, they don't want to do more than one at this stage.
A lot of people got to Europe to get it done especially Germany, they have been doing them routinely for over a decade.

Is there some irony to postin' re "artificial disk replacement" under "Modifications"? ;) ;D...

BR, hope your bud gets better and Will "E"...hope you're doin' as good as ya sound ;) ...how'd the readin' go?...need any more?...

Readin going fine, have not done your books yet, got inundated with reading material from friends and family.
