Help Italian Customer - persons Capacity

Hello everyone, I'm Alvise and I'm writing from Italy. I'm about to buy a 1987 Fisherman 20 that seems to have a maximum capacity of 6 people transportable. It's very strange because even the model currently sold (with the same dimensions) has a capacity of 8 people. Can anyone give me some advice on how to ask the manufacturer to modify this aspect? Thanks!
 
Hello alvise there should be a capacity plate on the boat that will tell you the maximum HP and how the maximum weight with the maximum people your boat can safely carry. My plate is located by /on the helm now if you don’t have it I’m sure you will get reply’s. I do have a 20,6 wellcraft Steplift that should be the same but unfortunately I’m not by my boat now and probably won’t be till next week. I’m not even sure if mine still has it. Some one will respond to you with more information. Welcome to the site
 
I just tried to find some information for your boat and found out that boats over 20 feet do not require a capacity plate. Since the boat your looking at is probably listed as 20.6 it might not be on the boat
But I’m sure some other boaters from this site will get back to you soon.

Hi, thanks everyone for the help! I think too many years have passed since it was built (1987) and in addition, when it was imported to Italy it conformed to our Italian laws of the time. I would really like to bring it to 8 people, I hope I can do it...
 
I ask you another thing if I may...from the documents I received it seems that the weight of the boat (I repeat: fischerman 20 from 1987) is 3.6 tons. It seems too much to me! In your opinion is it correct?
 
My boat is a 1978 Steplift with a cuddly cabin and the dry weight is 1995
3 tons? That’s about 6000 pounds, that’s way too much. I would think your boats dry weight is about 1995 like mine
My best guess. Boat and engine ( 200hp outboard) plus 50 gallons of fuel. Would be around 2800 pounds let’s round it off to 3000 pounds. Fuel,food,coolers to be safe.

Mine’s an 86 and I believe there was a sticker just in front of the fire extinguisher
 
Ebay? They have everything. I’m looking for a 5’4” blonde who is loaded ,115 pounds ,And has a mint condition wellcraft Steplift and is not picky about what there boy friend, or cheating husband ,not to good looking man looks like. And he is always in his garage and doesn’t like taking her out. Can you find me one on eBay?
