Heavy...

If that was as far as he went, I'd have to agree with him that it's really something special to know that all our atoms are linked together. It's a kind of nice feeling. But that's where my agreement with him ends. I believe in God, whereas he does not. He's an avowed athiest and trys to advance his "there is no God" philosophy at every opportunity. He's looking at only the physical side of things, and entirely casting off the spritual side. Basically he's saying that since he cannot see, hear, feel, or touch spirituality there is no such thing..... (Much like Thomas said that unless he was able to thrust his hand into the wound in Christ's side he would not believe that Christ had risen). As smart as he is in his field, to my way of thinking his logic is flawed, simply because he has no faith. What a shame.

Read about a guy with perhaps highest measured IQ.......... working on a mathmatical equation to prove the existance of GOD.

I'd like to know the origin of the original " big bang" that filled our universe according to inflation theory. Science and math has taken the moment down to fractions of a second AFTER the big bang ............ but not to the moment...........or before the moment.

I believe the scientist Steven Hawken suggested a GOD like reason for how all that matter could have originated from a " spark" smaller than a pin head. Meaning - there is no other explaination.

Now science is suggesting there may be " something " beyond the edge of the universe.......which is the furthest material that has expanded from the big bang.

In my thinking, no matter how many universes or dimensions may exist - the base line question remains - where did it all come from and how did it originate ?

We may never be able to figure it out - it may be beyond human mental ability.

I offer this analogy - let's say I try to teach my dog, or the smartest dog in the world how to do advanced mathmatical equations. Dogs just can't - they can't do it because it's beyond their abilitities. Well, knowing all about the original of space and time may just be beyond our mental abilities.

Nice topic. Enjoyable and thought provoking.
