FishBones in the house

willy

God
Listen my friends, as a few of you already know I have been on a search for another type of boat for about two months.
Well I found it, and to day I ventured to Cape May for the sea trial and inspection and after six hours of total driving, FishBones is home to stay

1997 Hydra Sport 2250 Vector Series CC 1997 Evinrude 200 Ocean Pro

158 hrs. total on boat motor and trailer since new

Named after the previous owners favorite bar in Bethany Beach Delaware he said.

A trailer queen since new except the past two full seasons. She runs like a top and she rides like a dream for me, very dry and sturdy. The last year made by the North Carolina Boys, after that OMC bought them and moved it to Florida

Congrats willy!! Looks like a great boat! Good Luck!!

Well, based on our phone conversation earlier tonight, you know how I feel.
That boat is mint and I'm jealous. You done good brother.Bravo.

Nice ride, I guess the HYDRA's are catching on around here. Ditch the VRO and pre-mix the fuel, and run the snot out of her. Also, clean up the zinks on it as I see somebody spray painted em over pretty good when they installed the late model lower unit(the water inlets on that one are like the 01+).

Thanks Guys, looking forward to the first run with her after some big flatties.
The ride really impressed me, no slamming in 3 footers we were going in and out of at Cape May inlet, all spray went straight down and to the back even with the head wind we had. Instead of slam if I pushed it over a big wave it sort of just plowed with a little bit of spread out sensation. Nice. Find a decent speed and it just tracked right thru. I have to learn to use those big trim tabs and figure out the best way to run it, the fellow who owned it did not have a clue and basically just put them all the way down or up depending on his mood I guess. The 200 ran right up to 5100 rpms but stayed there, I did not have the sea conditions to play with the trim to see if she would hit 5500 but sure felt like it should. Jumped her up on plane real easy and quick with two guys 3/4 fuel and fresh water tank full.

It is looking like I will be coming down to the Jersey Shin Dig but most likely flying solo or maybe one of my sons as that is the day we are moving into the shore house we rented for a week with the whole family plus my brothers family.

I hear you on the trim tabs!! I just now getting around learning mine and it isn't easy!!
I have been thinking about getting a indicator switch so I can see were they are all the time, but they want as much for the switch as they want for the trim tab set up.

ok willy.... now its time I come to the station and build a kick a$$ man cave to house the fleet .... I have a couple nice designs in mind .... I can start tomorrow:clap::clap::clap:

Enjoyed talkin w/you the other night...looks like it was all you hoped for...SWEET!!...lovin' that big, SHARP bow to slice and dice the ball-busters for ya!!...and on the trim-tabs...just think what you want the BOW to do...

Congrats, Willy...you gonna love it!!...:hide::clap:
