22 Tuna.
Great time for sure.

:hide:Very nice!!

Wish I could have made it out this weekend, but Isaac has made a mess of things down here for us boaters. Definietely makes my mouth drool!!

You got skill's Captian thanks for the pic's. What is the limit on tuna that is a boat FULL and it looked like one of those day's on the big blue fishing that story's are made of. How far off shore do you have to go to get tuna?

These are albacore tuna---How ever many you can get on ice and keep real cold. No limit yet in Washington.

We were 45 miles out for these fishies. I have three trips this year--1 on the V-20 with 22 tuna--all on ice in the center fish box and the cabin box--and 2 runs on my friends 282 grady with 37 and 39 tuna. 1 more trip this year and I will be done canning for the next year at least.

Gotta go 100 miles to the Hudson canyon for albacore (aka Longfin) here. They usually mix in with the yellowfins. They don't get to the big sizes of other tuna but they are fun as hell on 30# tackle. Were you trolling, jigging or chunking?

We troll to find them--then convert to live bait stops and get them going crazy--triple hook ups are common place.

Unless we get lucky and we see jumpers, or a big kelp paddy and stop and start chumming with live anchoives --if they start getting eaten--we are in with the live bait and Game On!!
