Finally got my first Bass

Talk about a happy Thanksgiving! I was jigging in about 35 feet of water off Seaside Park when it finally happened. It's a nice 33" Stripper. I don't know the weight because I don't have a scale. I got back to the dock just as it started to rain/sleet. Now I can pull the boat and feel satisfied. But I will probably go out a couple more times.

Nice!

33 inches is about 15 pounds. Seaside park has been good when you can get there. Went out today and nearly got blown to Portugal. Could not go down to Seaside, tuffed it out off of Sea Girt and got 1 blue and a Fluke. Pulling the boat tomorrow, might peek out the inlet.... Good luck if you try one more time.

Good job Pete, there still in all along the coast, and if any of you guys are going out, hit some structure, reef, rocks whatever they are killing the Togs right now. Good size ones too. Great eating.
Also the Bass are still all over the place with guys running into monster bird/bait blitz's along the coast.

thanks guys. We ate it last night for dinner. Everyone loved it. Today would have been a good day to go but I was busy. The next window of nice weather we get I'm going to get back out there. I filled up the gas tank before the last trip so I figure when thats burned up I'll pull the boat.
