Engine Hatch Foam Help!

So the foam under my engine hack is gone gone gone, and i get it, it is 30 years old, so have some of you i/o guys done to replace it? what material have you used? im thinking of the dyna-mat stuff they use for sound reduction in car trunks. any advice will help, thanks!

I got my hands on some sound damping that Submarines use and put it in my neighbors engine hatch cover. It did a pretty good job but not as good as the spray in foam like our original stuff.

There are some pretty good spray in foam you can get off the internet.

I'll look tonite and see what I can find, I use to work with this stuff.

Check out this site, They have apps for everything including marine. Scroll down until you get to the article in Southern Boating. One type in here is a matting you can glue in and it reduces noise by 26 db. That is what most decent industrial ear muffs are rated. I use a set that is 25db when I cut grass or weed eat and they really reduce the noise.
