Doom and gloom.... ad nasium

Well, to hear the folks on CNN tell it, the world is going to end shortly, because the White House yesterday released it's report on climate change.

Notice, that now it's climate change, not global warming. This way they can blame any and everything weather related on it and tell us that only they can stop it, but it will take everyone of us working together (insert "send us more of your money" here.) Too hear them tell it, we can expect flooding, droughts, hurricanes, colder than normal winters, hotter than normal summers, tornadoes, monsoon rains, etc, depending on which sector of the country you live in. The polar ice caps are melting, (even thought they were 49% thicker this winter than last) and that's going to release all the Methane that's captured in the perm-frost, and that's an even worse greenhouse gas than CO2 and OMG ... your beer is going to get warm, and your hot dogs cold.... are you listening to me??? It's the end of civilization as we know it. Agony, oh agony!!!!!

But don't worry, they can fix it, but it's going to take lots and lots of new laws and regulations designed to take away even more of our freedoms and our money. What a crock of bullsh!t. And what's even worse, there's about half the country that's going to actually believe this horse manure.

MSM.

Manure Occureth. Be ready.

Something they and the other % don't understand.

Otherwise enjoy the Life you have been given.

There is no such thing as scientific fact, only the prevailing theory, which should be constantly challenged with new data. In the case of Global Warming, the IPCC built four computer models of what they said their theory would show. All four failed. In addition, many benchmarks were laid out for climate change. (Al Gore's book listed them.) These too failed. If we were to really be using science here, we would conclude that Global Warming, as presented, is a failed theory, and await a new theory to test.

There is an excellent book still available titled Trashing the Planet; by Dixy Lee Ray. It was first published in 1990 and still can be found on Amazon for a very reasonable price. It is a well done critique of all the fear mongering that is still being done in the name of global warming (read climate change for today's vernacular).
The scientific community has invested so much time and energy into the issue of climate change and so should be viewed through the lens of publish or perish. Without grave dangers and potential disasters, all of which have happened long before mankind started keeping records of such things, the scientific community would get no research dollars from a Congress made up primarily of lawyers and bankers, neither of which have much if any training in the natural sciences, but have big enough mouths that they can manage to get themselves heard.

The American public, while correct in being skeptical of such nonsense as global warming (it does it twice every year: once in the southern hemisphere and once in the northern hemisphere..) or climate change (it does it multiple times a day), nevertheless should educate themselves on the totally bogus, money making, power grabbing issue called "Climate Change.

Have any of y'all considered how much smog credits are worth? They are handed out to company's by our goverment. They can be traded or sold to other companies, tax free. They've created a currency exchange above money

Lower tier engines are going the way of the dinosaur.

The premise that the cumulative effect of mans "pollution footprint" could do anything more than pollute our beautiful planet is too far reaching for my miniscule brain. Or else I could get excited.

If the sea level were to rise as they said, that would have absolutely gotten a lot more attention. LOL! I could throw out a prediction that the sea level will rise an additional 1/4" in the next century. Show me the money..

Carbon credits are just another way for rich people to get richer on the backs of the working class. If a company produces more carbon than they are "allotted" by the government, they can buy credits from companies that have used less than their allotted amount. Just remember that ANY extra expense that a company realizes in the making of a product, be it increased transportation costs, higher minimum wages, taxes, carbon credits, etc is going to be passed along to the final end consumer of those goods. And I don't find it all that surprising that one of the MAJOR investors and promoters of the carbon credit BS scheme is none other than Al Gore. That man has made a career out of lying through his teeth, and this is no exception. Thank God that NJ's Gov Christe opted out of the Northeast states scheme for NJ. Our previous Gov (a Demon crap) had endorsed it whole hog.
