Does your cabin leak?

I have noticed that when it rains I end up with some water in the floor of the cabin. I havent gone out and gotten in the cabin while it's raining but I am assuming that is is comming from around the sliding hatch.

Is this just the way it is, of can you fix it?

Mine leaks a little where the two sliding hatches meet right in the middle.  Not a lot.  Never attempted to correct this.  Way to go selling your motor.  Billy Mac  ;D

Mine leaks a little as well. Mostly when the boat is tilited up on the trailer, water sits at the base where the hatch rails meet the at beginning of the hatch opening. Just below where the winshield sits. Caulk around the hatch rails.

Mine leaks too...but get an assistant to spray hose while yer in there (video and post ;D)...there are some places it could leak and indicate water intrusion inside wood-core...see any tea-colored stains?...

No stains and the SHAG carpet on the roof is always dry. It doesn't look like there would be any way of stopping the water because you cant seal the slider with anything cause then it wont slide.

Oh well, I guess they are not the perfect boat, just nearly perfect.

Mine never leaks unless I'm pulling it down the road 60 mph in the driving rain or stuffing the bow in a heavy chop.

I was studying the slides yesterday and noticed that there is a drain under each side near the windshield that lets water out of the slide chanel. I also noticed that one of the drains was stopped up with dirt. I cleaned it out, we will see if that helps.

It looks to me that if you keep your V sitting almost level, the drains would keep water from getting in the cabin, but if your boat tilts one way or the other or the bow is much higher than the stern, then the water spills into the cabin instead of going out the drain.

This is from the outside.

This is from inside the slide opening, hard to see.
