Demodification

Felt I needed to replace the thru hull fittings in the bow.

Noticed a small crack beginning in one of the fittings.

But got to thinking the best coarse would be to just fill the holes.

Cut a couple pieces of ½ “ thick glass and bolted with 10/24 flat heads, countersunk,    locknutted, and 5200ed.

Then filled the holes with Evercoat and finished off with Marine Tex.

Think I’ll walk down to the dock while the Marine Tex cures out to see what I can aggravate. ;D ;D

Hey thanks for the great lesson in hull repair. I have never had to deal with it yet till now.
That stuff work on bullet holes too? Had a little trouble with the Coast guard this weekend. Standard safety check, then I dropped the name Charlie the Tuna next thing I know hot lead is flying everywhere. They shot my V up pretty bad. A lessor boat would have sunk for sure. Im lucky to be alive! Whats up with that CTT? 8)

I use my 10 year old boy to hold the wrench..

almost could've put in a bow thruster in there since you already two holes (albeit unevenly spaced ). That would be cool as hell, a 2hp bow thruster in there and you could spin on a pin head!!!!!
