Curious

OK, totally informal, no need to supply a reason.

If the presidential election was held tomorrow, who would you vote for? Your answer can be for either party, and again, just a name, not a reason why.

Rand Paul. I can't support Ted Cruz after his remarks a few years back about how having only 1 US born parent makes you ineligible to be president, yet he has only 1 US born parent and is running now. I cannot stand hypocrites and the do as I say not as I do mentality. And he is guilty of it BIG TIME after everything he said about obama not being eligible because only his mother was American, yet he is in the same situation and now he feels differently. Rubio talks a good, game, but he has proven to be nothing but a rino, and Trumps party swapping and now saying he's against everything he was for less than a decade ago scares me. And his obama catch phrase doesn't help(change you can believe in, lets make America great again, both are 2 phrases in the same pod).

My yellow lemon beagle Ranger. He's 98 in dog years so some think he's too old to be president, but his running mate Sable, the black and white pit mix, makes an excellent number 2 in a worse case scenario.

If Ranger doesn't make it to the election Sable says she'll throw her support behind Toto.

Phil Robertson.... Not a fan of the show but at least he's shown himself to have integrity and to stand behind his beliefs even if it gets him in hot water with the fruitcakes.

He's one up on 99% of politicians already.

Maybe, but because Cruz's mother was a U.S. citizen and his father was a U.S. resident, Cruz has been a citizen from birth and is thus a 'natural born Citizen within the meaning of the Constitution" and the "Naturalization Act of 1790." There has never been a question of his eligibility. Obama's Father never was a resident, and never became a citizen of the US. It's may seem like a little thing, but in the eyes of the law it's huge

I will not be drawn into any political debate...

In the eyes of the law? It didn't matter in Obama's case. Didn't Obama's granny swear that she witnessed his birth in Kenya? People have odd ideas and don't necessarily communicate the truth as the rest of the world sees it... How could anyone blame Obama for his parents and his birthplace? Like most folks, I can't remember the moment I was born and certainly not where I was born. Nor could he. Birthers need to refocus their angst against something else more worthy of attention because that is a lost cause at this point...

It is Ranger, Sable, Toto and Trump in that order...Don't worry about the dogs age,( and I use the term "dog" in the most endearing fashion imaginable for the first three hopefuls) look at how long Byrd stayed in there...They had to haul him out by ambulance during Obama's second Innaguration IIRC. Not to knock his service, but give me a break. Term limits, manditory retirement age. Yes I said it. Let's start to descriminate a little. More than you ever asked for Destroyer, but I couldn't contain myself. Now I'll go back into hiding.. My .02 Respectfully, Vic

P.S. - If any political candidate were to squirrel up with a V-20, now that is someone I could get behind. Someone with buck$ could CNC a new mold that is approx 130% larger with the same big bow flare, a variable deadrise hull, from the likes of Mr. Mosely and a little more beam, proportionate to the upscale, naturally.. Make it free with whatever power the individual decided and fill the tank, I could take delivery right away..vote purchased.. Isn't this how it works?

It matters to me when he used his own case as an example of why he shouldn't run(but now I guess he's going with if it's good enough for the geese, then it's good enough for the gander). I've noticed this tid bit has been disappeared from youtube and the likes. If he gets the nom I'm sure it will come back out, but on the other hand if they use it, they know it could backfire and go against the annointed one. And the other BIG issue with Cruz is he was born to ONE US parent in CANADA. He has never denied being born on non us soil, so his own words will come back to haunt him on this.

I'm not trying to drum up the whole birther thing, just trying to point out I can't support one who was a part of it and used his own birth as an example in it.

The sad thing is that in the end the masses couldn't care less who is and isn't honest....
They will vote for whoever promises more handouts.

Sanders=most handouts(until people find out how much there taxes will be)
Trump=most talk and pandering to the extreme right(ironically, less than a decade ago he was OPENLY against most all of it)

I still cannot believe how many people have jumped on the Trump wagon blindly, simply because he yells he's gonna deport illigals and make Mexico pay to build a wall. He keeps yeling he will make America great again, but I have yet to hear any real substance of HOW he will do it. All he is done so far is beat his chest, say how great he is, compalin of how crooked and broken politics are, but he uses it to his advantage EVERY chance he gets. He also has supported assault weapons bans in the past, but like Cristy doesn't right now. He also is a BIG supporter of eminent domain and taking peoples property when it is to his advantage. And am I the only one who thinks his "let's make America great again" slogan sounds EERILY familiar to o's "change you can believe in"?

In the matter of O, it's funny that several people that claimed the O had been born outside of the US are now dead. and the Gov official that validated his birth in Hawaii died in a boating accident when everyone else involved lived... Oh wait, that's just my conspiracy theory evil twin talking...

Ferm, I completely agree with you on Trump and Christy (He's my Gov, and I don't trust him one inch when it comes to guns (New Jersey's gun laws are draconian) I also don't like Carson, not that he's a bad person, just that he really doesn't have any experience, and we have already had 7 years of someone with no experience leading our country. The one, singular candidate that has consistently voted the conservative line is Cruz. Look at his record. He's actually disliked by a number of people from his own party because of it. And if he's disliked by the RINO's that's a good enough reason for me to like him.

Cruz hasnt always voted conservative. He voted for the tpp and several other sellouts. I'm on my phone right now, or else I would post up some links. He is far and away better than what we have, but one thing I put above all else is to live by your own words, and HIS own words disqualify him from running. Carson is highly intelligent, but I believe his intelligence is why he has problems speeking and conveying his thoughts. Still not sold on Fiorina, and Rubio is a double talking politician(aka obama with an R in front of his title). I like Paul, but not sure if he's ready, that and he doesnt stand a chance as he isn't an establishment canidate.

Ranger told me he appreciates your support and wants to hear more of this Hunt-Moesley hybrid design. (Woof!) Says we need more guys like them and you to be in positions of innovation in all industries, to actually build quality lasting products instead of just disposable junk from overseas. (To which Sable says GRRRRRR!)

Sen. Cruz is actually the only one I trust to absolutely lead this country forward. Next would be Trump as the only one who can make a change in the Washington Cartel. He has a crazy personality I know but to vote for another one of the standard politicians would be like slitting our national wrists. Carson, I believe is a good man but I want one who can lead and I feel Trump and Cruz could do that.
This election is of paramount importance for America and I believe that we cannot afford to put one of the cartel back into power. That is why Trump and Carson are leading all candidates nationally, Americans are sick and tired of being lied to.
Rubio is now the national darling of the political elite as the only one left who has a shot in the primaries. He is highly flawed for many reasons and his backing by the big money backers of the republican party is to me the hand writing on the wall.
That being said, if anyone votes for the two leading socialists of the demo/socialist party you must be either mentally deficient or have a picture of Lenin in your man cave. Or are voting to give yourself more free chit.
There I have said my political piece for this election.
God Bless America

Hmmm... Well, Glen Beck earlier this week volunteered to host the final debate on his network. So far, Carly Fiorina, Donald J. Trump, Bobby Jindal, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have agreed to be part of it. To me, just the fact that those people have agreed to it makes me look closer at and with favor on them. Anyone that doesn't want to be part of it, to me, is hiding something or is afraid of the substantive questions that will be raised during it.

Oh, I did a quick check, because I always thought that Cruz had voted against the TPP Bill. And sure enough, I found that he had voted Nay on it.
http://www.againstcronycapitalism.org/2015/06/so-who-voted-for-tpp-fast-track-in-the-senate-list/ But then, doing further research, I found another site that says he did vote for it. So truthfully, at this time, I really don't know if he did or didn't.

But here's what I do know: Everyone, at some time or another, changes their mind about something, even things that they might have been violently opposed to in the past. Circumstances change, new information surfaces, morals change, etc etc etc. The reasons are not important really. What is important is that circumstance DO change, and to hold someone accountable to something they may have said several years ago is, to me, unrealistic. I swore that my daughter would not be allowed to get married before she was 25. Then she met Mike, they fell in love, he asked me for her hand in marriage and I "allowed" it, even though she was only 20 at the time. Well, they got married 6 months later, are still happily married, and in the fullness of time had 2 wonderful children that are now in college. I swore that I would not allow it. I changed my mind. Does that make me a bad person for going back on my word? I don't think it does. My point, as is rather obvious, is that people change their minds all the time. If Cruz said he was against something, and then years later changes his mind, who can say that it's for the good or the bad?.. We don't know WHY he did. I listen to the guy and I like him. His record in the Senate is (to me) a good constantly conservative one. He's disliked by members of his own party because of it, so that earns even more points in my ledger. The three I like the best are Cruz, Trump and Fiorina. All of them *may* be flawed in some places, but to my way of thinking they are all, hands down, better than the POS that is now sitting in the POTUS chair.

Cruz initially voted FOR the bill when they tried to pass it in the middle of the night. AFter TREMEDOUS backlash, he changed his stance on it. None of them are perfect, but to me Paul has been the most credible. So far the only real skeloton that anybody has used against him was he endorsed McConnel in his last senate run, but that was primarily because McConnel is also from his home state, and was the only other republican senator running at the time. Other than that he has been pretty well rock solid. It's also funny how the last debate all these ideas about spending and such the canidates were pouting as there own were ones Paul has had fro mthe get go, even when he was laughed at for having them. And I couldn't in good concience support Trump knowing how he has flip flopped, and still supports MANY BIG gvernment agendas that he is choosing to ignore during his run.

Donald trump today, and next year. I here he's going to build a wall. Finally

Well, he says he will, and really, I believe him. Problem is, by then it may be too late. Hell, it may already be too late. We've had such a porous border that anyone, with anything, could have already come in and is just waiting till they think the time is right. (Russia made several small nuke bombs that fit inside of a standard metal suitcase. After the collapse of the Soviet Union several of them went missing. Just something to think about).

And to anyone that says that fences don't work.... If they don't, why is there one around 1600 Pennsylvania Ave?
