Choosing the right boat

around here, the decisions are based on, 1. will it impress my neighbors?, 2 does it have a dark color hull side? 3. does it have tan interior? 4 does it have blue tooth electronics that I will never be able to operate without a teenager on board? 5 its got to have at least three motors on the back. And 6, how low can we get the payments if I finance it for 100 years?

I must have missed the section in the article that mentioned the fact that your wife actually has to pick the boat you are allowed to have.

Phatdaddy you got that right, we got the perfect boat. I was looking At the website that was posted with all those new and shiny boats I looked close and did not see one that was nicer than the steplift,so I got my perfect boat. You know how you know you got your perfect boat? After 25 years plus I still love looking at them. You can't get any better than that. The wellcraft V 20 is the perfect boat.
And spare, I bought the easiest fish finder they said they made. , and I still can't figure it out so do you think I want blue tooth or any color tooth, yeah right. I'm with you spare. My fish finder is birds.

Gotta agree with what everyone has said about the V20/V21 boat hull/ Perfect design for 95% of boating in it's size class.

Now, I would like a nice long range Trawler in about the 40' class. I'd also like the money to maintain her and all the rest that goes with it. (including fuel) But since that will only happen if I hit the lottery I don't see it in the foreseeable future.

My point is that we have a very good boat, well designed, able to handle rough water better than most for it's size. I'm happy.

About the only thing I could want is a brand new Yamaha or Suzuki 150 or 200HP 4 stroke engine. (Probably a Zuke since they are thousands less than the Yamaha) Ahhhh...that's what dreams are made of. Thinking of going back to work and taking all the money I make and putting it towards that dream... wife thinks I'm crazy... but hey, she married me, so who's the crazy one?
