Chevy Truck forums?

Anybody know of a good Chevy forum, specifically for the 88-98 C/K trucks? I just picked up a 98 k-1500. It was my Dad's and the dealer tried to steal it from him on trade, so I bought it. It's in good shape, and we needed another truck anyway...wife always wants the HD 2500...and I hate the #$#$ mini-van of hers....which is now FOR SALE

What's There To Know?? As Long As The Doors Will Open To Throw Your Trash In What's There To Know!!!

A Unlocked Chevy On The Side Of The Road Is What We Rednecks Call A Trash Dump!!!!

Like he said "what's to know, throw your stuff in it, get in and drive". :D

My 1997 Silverado 1500 (18/21 mpg) has 234,000 miles without any major problems and drives like a car with her new Michelin's.

My 2002 one ton GMC has 60,000 miles on it and I just put it's first set of tires on her and other than oil changes she's never had any service.

I've been driving Chevy/GMC trucks with 350/5.7 engines since I got rid of 3 2yr old Dodge vans in 1981.

In 2002 GMC you have 5.3 they no longer had 350 at that time:p

I have 2002 Chevy 1500 Just turned 112.000 and besides new U joints and tires I just added, I haven't had to anything else to it!

Well I did replace the rear springs with 3/4 ton springs, cranked T Bars and Extyended shocks so would tow better.

Yeah, maybe if you put brakes on your trailer the truck wouldn't mind so much.

Had nothing to do with braking, It towed and stoped fine with the V20, Its towing my 30 foot camper which has brakes, its the tounge weight that the truck had a problem with.
nd now I have the 23 foot Sea Ox I am glad I did it!

That must be the last year!! They did not put them in PU that year they went all 5.3 Better take care of that thing as its the last year for a great motor!

Is the new 6.0 the same old 5.7 with minor changes or a completely different engine? I know the 350/5.7 has served me well through a lot of trucks. I had a 305? in 79? that blew around 50K.

I don't know about the brand new stuff but 6.0 was total different motor then the 350.
My brother runs a 6.0 in his 2001 2500 GMC and now has 170.000 miles and has not had any problmes with the motor except the injectors cloging up one time when he started using the new gas, afte the cleaned them out its been fine.

I've had a pleasure in my life that it is unlikely my kids are going to have, I have owned Chevy trucks, Ford trucks and the use of one Dodge truck years ago that belonged to the guy I shared an apartment with when I got out of the army. Currently (and probably for a long time to come) own a F250 Super Duty which has been great.
I have also owned a Nissan 4x4 PU and a Toyota 4x4 Tacoma TRD that was a joy(especially off road)
Loved them all.
But driving an American built pickemup is a great pleasure period. And a hot chick driving one is one of the most beautiful of all of Gods creations:D:D
