Caterpiller Parts and Equipment

Inner lug nut for a CAT Forklift is $15.44/each. CAT had them in Peoria, IL. No freight after they ordered the wrong part the first time. I thought boats parts were expensive..

Ha, I bought one for the repair and 4 for the shelf. I would't feel so bad if the tireman hadn't broke the square portion off the top of the first lugnut. He hammered on it with a 1" impact and snap-a-roo. It took about 4 hits of the gun. We estimated no more than 200 lbs of torque. It was machined on the inside, a bit too far. Pure gold/ pure junk.

UPDATE - I am not sure anyone here could give a Fat Cats rearend. BUT I think CAT is a joke and putting it up here is thereputic.. If anyone OBJECTS Please let me know and I will cease and desist.
The parts I got were some aftermarket "CHEAP" parts according to my Caterpillar rep. They rolled the dice and ordered the "cheap" import parts that are "inferior to the real mccoy" (CAT OEM parts are also imported for the most part). The cost for CAT's version of the sleeve nut is over $25 each plus shipping and handling. NO BUENO! Still cross checking other manufacturers brands first. These are going back for a refund and credit. Meanwhile the equipment was down for about a week to get it this far along. CAT really doesn't even make this machine. It is a Mitsubishi Lift Truck with a Mitsubishi everything. ONE tough machine mind you, but you pay extra for the Yellow paint and the CAT logos when you purchase and every time you buy replacement parts.
