Bow up?

Ok quick question, ran my V for the first time a couple short trips last fall, and then Sunday. For the past 16 years I've owned Makos and they tend to run bow up, stern heavy.....to a fault almost...you HAVE to use trim tabs to get the bow down. My V seems to have the opposite problem. I wouldnt say the bow is digging, but it seems to run bow down, even with the motor running trimmed....is this how the Vs run? Ive never messed with props much but someone had mentioned a different prop that tends to have bow rise?? Ever heard of that? Any advise, or is this how they tend to run? There is no weight up front at all, and its center console model.....This thing handles really well, just would like to get that bow up!

What prop are you running now? You can try a prop with higher rake to it which tends to lift the bow better. I know the MIRAGE line and clones provide good bow lift as well as ALOT of bite.

Yep, thats what he was saying-try a Mirage. Thank goodness friend/machanic who rebuilt her has a ton of props to try. Right now Im running a SS 14 1/4 x 19 turning about 57-5800(53mph) WOT trimmed ...dont know the make of the prop

Im gonna start a " just splashed thread" with the V pic, but anyway----- it also might be running right, Im just used to such a big bow on the Mako. The Mako has more rise, but the V has more flare. Heck compare the two at the dock there is a world of difference

For a 200 MERC I would try a 16 or 17 pitch MIRAGE prop on it and see how it runs. They will lose you a little top end speed, but pick you up some cruise.
