Boaters World going under

Boaters World just announced they will be closing the doors in 90 days, so everything in the warehouse has been moved to the stores and they are liquidating everything. It is all going, all of it, as well as their Outer Banks Outfitters line.

Yep, RITZ cameras said they would be dropping the BOATERS WORLD line to try and keep the camera line going. BASS PRO SHOPS has made some comments about possibly buying BOATERS WORLD. Down here most of the stores are already out of stuff.

I understand "Marine Grade" and why it exists and that it costs more...but I was in a BW recently and just happened to notice a battery cable...red w/end connectors...musta been about 18" long or so...

$39.99!!...for a freakin' piece of cable??...

I'm surprised they survived a good economy...

i've found most boat supply houses(local & national) have good prices on some items and way out of line on other. kinda like grocery stores, some have better produce and some better meat, etc. price is always a consideration to me, but knowledgeable staff also means a lot

i called an asked the head quarters in Morehead City, said they had turned it over to a liquidation company, they are closing due to owning uncle sam little over 2 million in taxes. they made it known to only boat builders 2 month's ago this was going to happen, but to keep it quiet till they let it out to public.
