Well well, I just had to do it; a seabass trip to BI before the winter sinked in. Launched the boat at 6:30 am in P Judith State launch, flat seas allowed a fast cruise to the East Grounds, after getting setup I dropped bait in 60' of water and the fist seabass hit the deck, a nice 4 pound'er
Many other drops produced nothing but dogs and more frigging dogs, every other place I droped bait produced BIG dogs, moved around alot and found seabass stacked down in about 100 feet, when I could get the bait down fast enough and passed the dogs I got rewarded with a keeper seabass.
Managed my limit of 12 keepers all better than 13" with a couple of fatties before the wind got out of hand:
The trip back to PJ was a bit wet, I still cruised at 25 MPH but the "15mph West winds" were more like 30 MPH, made some white caps and the spray that ended up on my face...gotta love it!
All in all, a great November trip and a few nice meals to come.
