One guy to hold up the engine - one guy to move the bolts.
How hard can that be ?
Where's Ted Arcidi ...... or Bill Kazmier when you need him ?
You can actually do it w/the trailer tongue jack...let the tongue all the way down...but wooden blocks under the skeg and drop the motor's weight onto the blocks...have a couple of guys steady the motor and remove the bolts...continue raising the tongue jack until the transom holes are in line w/the holes you want in the bracket...seal and reinstall the bolts...off ya go!!...I did this w/the Merc...works like a charm...![]()
Risk of breaking off the skeg ?
How fast does it go????
I'd raise it two holes, that way you won't have to wonder if one was enough
That's some sexy sh!t rite there.... Love my etc..... just got two new fuel injectors .... .. still covered under my seven yr warranty ... total cost to Ken 25 bucks.:money:
What happened with the injectors ?
I don't know what the issues with them were, I was told by my neighbor/ marine mechanic that I needed them when he was getting my boat ready for the season.... basically all I know about the engine is you turn they the key to start it. If it were made of wood then it would be a different subject... lol.
