ok is yours a cast iron block and heads how does it handle the weight i the back does it sit low in the waterunder repairs forum page five you will see a thread that reads how to clean a bilge. that shows a clear picture of a V-8 chevy motor bed. i could also give you all the dimensions needed for the conversion. mine V-20 was factory original 5.7 gm i/o mercruiser.
yes im more into a long lasting engine with balls like all 4 strokes the harder u turn them the faster they wear out and fuel is a killer here too $5.20 a gallon so that 256+ to fill my boatyes cast iron block, heads.intake and exhaust manifolds am sure there is a little more weight involved here but trade off for more power is worth it . i have a stock 260hp . but as you see on this site what happens when you re-work a 5.7 with all the correct stuff. the best part is its proven. it passed the lie detector test gps speed in mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
hi guys just thinking if anyone has a different engine set up other than a 3.7 in there v20 . i saw the the v8 chev v20 race boat . set ups that will practical![]()
