Alabama Rig?

Anyone used an Alabama Rig yet?

The first time I ever saw one was Monday after Christmas...every boat on the lake was throwing them.

We (my son, my buddy, and I) fished Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on Badin Lake, NC and only saw one person catch a fish on it, but EVERY boat was throwing it...except us, we caught 43 largemouth during the week on red 4" worms.

Youtube is full of videos of people catching 2 or 3 bass at a time, I'd imagine they would work for stripers too.

LOL, Tea thru the nose on that one description. Giant, Honking Chandalier of a fishin lure.
It is probably made by the same folks that make teasers for salt water angling.
Bet it works on Speckled Trout. What does it cost?

Around here they are getting $25 a piece for one without hooks and baits on it and they cant keep em on the shelf...but I saw some on ebay for $11.95 today.

My fishing buddy has made several of them out of welding wire but hasn't caught anything on them yet.

They should work for anything that chases schooling bait.

I just learned about em the other day. They look like the shizzle for Badin and High Rock stripers. Getting the shaft seal on my kicker motor fixed and going after em. Striper fishermen on Badin have been doing well for the past few weeks, so I hear. At that price tho I sure don't want to lose one!!

They had em unrigged at Dick's in Greensboro the other day for $14.99...they were still $24.99 unrigged at Gander Mtn.

If its not raining Sunday I may sneak down to Badin and try for something with scales.

I'll say!!!!

This was my favorite:

Stopped by Dicks on lunch break today, the whole display of $14.99 ones were gone, there was one $24.99 one left...I need to start making and selling them, there MAY be $1.50 worth of material in one.

And I thought they were nuts askin' $11.99 for 'em down here...racks full of 'em...nice lookin' homemade ones, too!!...

And if that dern girl's legs weren't in the way, that'd be a great shot of that rocky shoreline...you can see it just under her fanny...
