'96 V21 For Sale in MA

I emailed him. I just wanted to know how many gallons his fuel tank holds since Dmoore said his pristine '96 held 70 gallons. He emailed me back - his is 60 gallons. I'm all hung up on this fuel thing cause mine is 60 gallons and for me 70 gallons would be absolutely perfect. Pffffft!

I'm right with you on this - and also believe the spec in 96' remained at 60 gallons.
I believe 80-100 gallons would be better so we could make those long runs without concern. Then again, I'm not really going to take my V21 60 + miles offshore, even with full safety gear. Three hours running each way ? And what if conditions deteriorate to 4'-6' chop ?

I'd rather go in a 61' Viking Sport Fishing boat equiped with fully stocked refrigerator / freezer, etc....... Problem is, I can't afford to even rent one of these boats, that's why I have a V21.

My tank is a 63 gallon...

When I was redoing my floor I replaced all the hoses going to my tank. The manufactures plate on my tank said 70 gal.

Destroyer - where is the plate located on the fuel tank? Rick, where did you see the 63 gallons? Now I am really confused!

Mine has a sticker on the tank. I can only see the model FO6301 and 238 liters.
Looking at other tanks online the first two numbers are the capacity.

238 liters = 62.87 gallons

Cool, no stickers that I can see, however looking at Destroyer's pic with the floor removed, his tank looks exactly like mine with respect to the gaps on the sides and front and hose connections. But, mine is probably the same as yours Rick. They probably put 60 gallons in the specs because 60 is what is considered "usable" gallons. Trust me, if you see the fuel pickup you will understand.

By the way, when am I coming down to fish with you?

Good price assuming.............and until someone goes and looks at it...........assumption is the root of some decent size mistakes. Not saying this boat is.

Fuel tank

My "old boat" had the foil decal outboard towards the portside from the sending unit....70 gallons...I posted a pic of it somewhere on here.....D
