I have heard of pen rite, and they are supposed to make some good oils. For marine use I would reccomend a regular 15W40 dino oil at least fo the first 50 hours or so. Also I would add in a bottle of COMP break in lube as it is HIGH in ZINC and phosfourous content. After break in I would go with either a 15W40 dino oil again, or the 5W40 synthetic. Be careful of the diesel oils as alot of them now are rather low in zinc content to work with our crappy emissions systems here in the states. The 15W40 ones tend to still have higher zinc in them, but the new 10W30 oils for the new diesels are pretty low in zinc content as that is the oil the new FORD 6.7L specs out and requires a low zinc content to prevent DPF and SCR damage.

and don't idle the engine (any longer than you have to) for the first of the break in.... keep her 1500 or above for a while

a long no wake zone is HARD on a new camshaft.

Im going to run the cam in out of the boat for at least one hour then reset the tappets and install the inner valve springs and drop it in im still waiting for my connecting rods cant do anymore with out them to the bottom end
