Well not much action on this thus far. What do you all think a 94 is worth?middle sound boat works just sold one for 12,500 newest member just paid 11,000. For his so again looking for opinions.would like to sell to buy bigger boat.

Having been aboard, if yer in the market for a good solid CC, this one is it...lift stored and well maintained...:nic:

looks great, i would be concerned about you having to rebuild the "crabs" & "bowels"

you don't say what year the motor is, but assuming it's the same as the hull, the only drawback is a 20 year old motor. i personally don't have a problem with 2 stroke carbed motors, but a lot of people believe if it's not a four stroke, they won't touch it.
also you don't mention a trailer. if you don't have one, that is going to limit your market a lot.

phatdaddy motor is also 1994. the reason for the rebuild of carbs were some of the float bowles were warped and leaking fuel so we replaced all six. yes there is a tandom trailer. it has new hubs&bearings,springs,shackles,u-bolts,two new fenders and all new keel rollers. the tires are worn and need to be replaced. it was 78 here yesterday so i had to go out and ride for awhile. the ran perfect as always! not bad when you can go out in a t-shirt
7shorts in november!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD, i was goofing with you about the "crabs" not carbs and "bowels" not bowls. weak attempt at humor, sorry.

added info on trailer is a plus. i also think the center consoles bring a a better price than the cuddys

good luck

You were asking what your boat is worth...I looked it up on NADA and they say around $5000 for boat (3400), motor (660), and trailer (865). That does not include electronics, tops, covers, equipment....all those things can add up fast.

Now we all know you wont find a good running 1994 150 hp outboard for $660, nor will you find a good usable trailer the size to handle a V-20 for $865.

If Reel says its a nice boat, then its a nice boat...people will pay more for boats that are better than average.

In about 3-4 months will be the best time to sell her...this time of year is when folks are looking for bargains.

There are plenty of folks with money around the Charlotte area...you should be able to get a fair price for her.

Thanks for the kind words. I love these boats(this is my second one) but i really want a bigger boat. Looking at a 1997 25 fountain center console now. The daydreamer is a great boat and i have been many places in her but the time to move on has come. Pass the word around. Thanka again

Ok the boat shows have come and gone.went last sat to the mid atlantic boat show in charlotte. Not much there for me.prices were outta sight!!!! Saw a 31 foot pontoon with twin yami 250s for a mear 200,00.00. A 232 colbolt bow rider 90.000.00. The best thing i saw (that i liked) was 21 foot scout center console. Show special 57.000.00!!!!! Now yall know why i buy pre loved boats!!!witch brings me to the point the daydreamer is still for sale and is not a bad deal for what it is!!!! Hope alot of people will start looking at used boats after these boat shows. asking 10.200,00

Great looking boat. Whatever you're asking it's CHEAP compared to anything new or newer. This economy sucks and a lot of people don't have the money and those that do are holding theirs waiting to see what happens next. I see these people on craigslist trying to sell a 5 year old boat for tens of thousands and feel for them. Someone spending that kind of money is probably gonna buy new.

I do think having an asking price will give you more action by giving people a starting point to go with.

There are so many boats for sale, I am sooooo glad I sold the Whaler when I did. Looking at new boat numbers$$$ is crazy.
The Daydreamer Looks like a fantastic specimen of a center console. I have a 1983 and can testify as to how well these hulls handle. In fact I put my money where my mouth is and sold the 23' Whaler and 22' Pursuit and kept the best riding, driving and economical boat of the three. V-20's are awesome, GLWS!

had a guy call me sat that was from esley sc that wanted to come look at the boat!!! a real live person who as the add instructed called and actually showed up!!!!!!!!him and his buddy looked over the boat for about 1 hour. said he would call me between 5 and 6 and let me know. he said i not like most people i wont leave you hanging!!!! i thought great. it is now tuesday moring 9:02 still have not heard from that m&%#er %****er!!!!! i wish people would be more honest.my rule is SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY!!!!!!! oh well i vented now, maybe more will come out as the weather warms.

Suggestion - post on several forums with lots of nice pictures so more people will see your ad.

Took 7 months to sell my previous Mako at price I wanted, and it was a cream puff !

I know what you mean about buyers .........back then I had one guy check it out, told me he wanted to buy it, just the right boat for him, would be in touch in couple of days to purchase etc etc.......then never heard from him. Along came a guy with his boys and they were very happy to buy it and tow to florida !

Your boat looks good - lots of buyers out there.........it will sell

I know what you mean Daydreamer about people who say they'll be there/call you back. Most of the stuff I sell on craigslist is a lot cheaper/have less tied up in, so I'm not as inclined to chase the sale as if I had something big ticket/nice like your V. I had someone once call about a 17 ft center console I had listed and said they wanted it, hadn't even seen it. I said great come on by with the money and I'll hitch it up for you. They called back a week later and were PISSED when I told them I sold it 4 days ago. Like I was just gonna hold it for them, never met them, they never saw it, no deposit. Yeah right!

You have a great looking V!

daydreamer, if the motor runs well i might be interested. are there any soft spots anywhere on her, for example the floor? transom? also, do you have a general idea what range you have in mind?
