1988 Dually for sale - Louisiana - 3K

well DAMN!!! here i am, fixing to post my final thoughts for feedback on the cc i posted about before ordering materials tomorrow and here this thing pops up! and so close to me too!!! and i was just wondering if cc would look goofy on this 25' aluminum i-beam trailer ive got...

sent him an email, gonna at least find out if its junk or if i can hang my motor on it and gofish

talked to the owner last night via text. seems like a pretty good guy, retired coast guard. he says the boat is solid. he uses it regularly so it hasnt been setting. he was 50 miles offshore in it two weeks ago and he has a child same age as mine that he takes out in the boat all the time so i believe him when he says the vessel is safe. i liked the pics he sent me and he liked the pics of my trailer that i sent him, so this might happen.

i would much rather have a center console, especially after deciding to get one and restore it. been a lot of planning, research and preperation not to mention salesmanship and bribery to get the wife reluctantly onboard. was gonna build that cc up really nice and am pretty excited about what the end result would be. but man, what a lot of work! if this one is good to go and all i have to do is put my motor and my electronics on it... fishing is a lot more fun than working on a boat. and im sure that the boat will fish fine, even though not as well as a cc much better than what i have now. so i can spend some quality time with my little boy out in the marsh catching trout, wich was the whole point of this endeavor in the first place.

if i do this, maybe down the road i can trade this thing for a center console? or maybe sell it relatively easily? these dually's are pretty rare but are they desireable?

ill keep you guys posted

okay, just tried to post here and it didnt work. aint gonna do all that typing again, lol. just gonna say that so far this deal looks good and it looks like it might happen. i really want a cc but this might be the right deal at the right time

im not sure how desirable they are to everyone else but id trade my cc for the dually in a heartbeat if the opportunity came anywhere near me

where you at? cause that boat is mine! well almost mine, i will take posession of it next weekend but the deal has been struck! and a trade may be something i would consider. not sure yet because ive never set foot on a dually but a cc and a ttop is the goal i had in mind from go

Hope this deal works out for you Troutkiller, I think you'll love the Dual Console. My wife and kids have become spoiled to the windshield on those cold Louisiana days when the reds are stacked up. Where are you Troutkiller and where do you fish? I live in Baton Rouge but I'm from Bayou Blue and have fished Terrebonne and Lafourche my whole life.

originally im from nola but ive lived on the ms coast most of my life, here in long beach now. lived in baton rouge for a bit, savoy plaza apts and worked for pyburn and odom engineering on gsri for many years, but work was down in south florida. i fish the east side of the la marsh a lot. i like biloxi marsh cypress bay, muscle bay... stuff close to lake borgne. taken my share of reds from the wagon wheel and tuna off the midnight lumps. use to fish hackberry a lot when my uncle had a camp down there but that was a long haul. chandeleur has been my spot past couple years, if i wanna run any distance. but mostly just local waters here on the coast and the la (should be ms) marsh is where ill be. you know where im at, right here in the best redfish/trout fishing in the world by far. these other guys have no idea what they missing and thats why we wont tell them how to keep the bugs from eating them alive. if we did they would never leave!

why, when you wanna take me fishing!!??

Congrats TroutKiller!!! I think you'll be very pleased. I took mine out to sea for the first time yesterday and it did great. The fish box held all of my catch and held the ice really well, the bimini top was a life saver, ride was great, fuel economy was excellent, I could go on and on.......I posted some pics on the fishing forum.
