Thinking about selling my cuddy and getting something smaller. We rarely use it anymore and it's just too big for the lake we live on. It's an 83' model I/o with a 350 260hp. Ran great last time we were out exhaust manifolds and risers were replaced 1 1/2 years ago and have only been in the salt once since they were installed, at the same time we replaced the shift cable, bellows, gimble bearing, water pump, thermostat and a lot of other stuff. Boat is in great condition for year gelcoat is still shiney. Passenger seat pedestal screws pulled out of the floor not long after getting the boat so I installed a piece of wood below the pedestal. The deck feels solid all around except where that pedestal was. Trailer it a tandem axle that is also in good shape. Looking to get $3000 with the lowerance elite 5 dsi gps chartplotter with navionics gold chip or $2500 with out it.

It has a tandem axle trailer. do those pedestals come out in the back? photos of rear deck? photos of trailer? more detailed photos?
thanks.

Thanks!

Pedestals in back don't come out. It does have a tandem axle trailer that is in good condition. Never have figured out how to upload photos to the site but I can send more photos to a phone number via text or an email address.

Just tried to upload pics again but it keeps saying upload failed. I use my cell phone for Internet so maybe I just can't upload pics from my phone to the site.

That's a sweet looking boat at a more than fair price. You should have no problems selling it. When she's gone don't be a stranger to this site. Lots of guys here don't have V's. It's not a prerequisite for coming here.

Thanks! Yeah I plan to continue visiting around here. I've learned a lot on this site and appreciate all the help I've got around here!

Granted I havnt had to change a battery but you have access to everytging in that area through the top hatch covers that are right on top in the back. I think the seats block the view of the covers I'm talking about in that picture.

Well after having her for sale a few months and dealing with several idiots that thought they could talk me into giving them the boat and waiting for all the no shows I've decided the keep the ole v. Guess you guys aren't getting rid of me after all. We took the boat out today and the wife is on board with keeping it and buying something smaller so I guess I can't complain! Going to do a couple repairs and take it down to the keys in a month or so.

I've got a nice 16 foot aluminum jon boat I will be selling soon if your interested. I was REALLY interested in your boat, but I just can't afford to go offshore anymore, and with a 2 year old and another on the way, I couldn't justify a bigger boat right now. And welcome to selling on craigslist, gotta love the emails from guys who have watched to much pawn stars, and send you email for 30% of your asking price and tell you that you should kiss there a$$ for offering you that much, and take it as well as deliver it to them for free, full of fuel, and loaded with beer. Craigslist has been great, and HORRIBLE all at the same time. But I blame shows like pawn stars and the like for making everybody believe they are some sort of master negotiator and can get something for whatever they feel is good. If I think the asking price is in the ballgame, I show up, look it over, make sure I think it is what was described, then ask them there bottom dollar. If it jives with what I feel comfortable with, I buy it, if not I say thank you for your time and move on.

Well said Ferm. I never want to insult anyone or embarass myself with an offer. A lot of people don't have a clue much less any money but like to waste other peoples time it seems. I love it when they call and havent even seen the item and ask your lowest price over the phone. I usually add 20 percent to my asking price in the ad. After a few seconds of crickets chirping they act all confused when I tell them I'll take $120 for something listed at $100. Y'all should try it, makes it worth dealing with the morons. About 80 percent are low ballers/dreamers/idiots, but the other 20 percent are actually pretty cool people I've found. I've actually put together a few multiple item deals with people I've met after I know what their in the market for. I'll run craigslist hard for a month or so selling stuff then I have to take a break for a while. Answering the phone and explaining to almost every caller every detail of the item for sale gets old especially when I list the details in the ad. Not to mention the texts you get when your ad clearly states NO TEXTS!!!

"Wud u b willin 2 trade? I hav RC cars an flat screne TV? " :shut:

It's a good boat but I've been on the fence about selling it since I started trying... I love the boat but I thought if I could only have one boat a fish & ski would be more practicle for us but when I told the wife i wouldn't take a fish & ski out to the reefs if we went to the keys she decided two boats would be a great idea. Of corse this is even better for me I'll gladly keep the v and get a smaller boat for fishing the lakes.
I don't know what it is about craigslist for me lately I used to sell stuff all the time on there and had pretty good luck with it but the last few things I've tried to sell on there have not turned out well. I guess it is the pawn star thing or something but like you guys said people want to talk you into giving stuff away. My favorite was a few years ago I wa trying to sell a motorcycle on Craigslist and a guy called and wanted to trade me 2 Palm trees and a riding mower for it.... Yeah no thanks.
