I want to rewire but would like to get a new wiring harness. Where do I go to get one? I want a new harness for the trim/tilt motor as well.

Wecome to the site!!

The motor will be easy, just call parts dept for your motor brand.

As for the Boat?? I don't no that you can?? Most all the people I have tlked to including my self have made there own.

bootster...did you just get this boat...if so congrats on your choice...if you've had it a while then you know whadda GREAT boat it is...

Macojoe hits the nail on the head once again...T&T harness should come from motor mfgr(through dealer probably), but wiring the boat is most likely gonna be yours...really not that hard...Bigshrimpin' posted some GREAT wiring info just recently...scroll down the pages....it's there...good stuff... ;) ;D

See "Wiring Advise Needed" under "REPAIRS"

I have had this boat for six years now. I've reglassed the floor and repowered the engine. Replaced side saddle tank shields with polyethelene sheet goods and put in split lid coolers for seating accomodations. I have an extra engine, three outdrives, two extra trim/tilt pumps and an extra bell housing unit for replacement parts. I am "in for a penny,in for a pound"as it were. Just got the replacement electronic ignition module for the points. The '71 has some nice lines on it. I need to fish out of it ASAP. I just put on a 25 HP Suzuki kicker (two stroke) for trolling/emergencies but havent tried it yet.

I have cruised the vessel for about 8 hrs total. She's strong and quiet (as a rule). I have replaced the steering cable.

After puting 3 Grand into the kicker system,it should perform well. I am excited about it.

I have a Raytheon fish finder/depth meter on it,an Icom I45 VHS with a Shakespeare antennae, brand new auto bilge pump. Did I mention that I have three props for it as well?

Enough ranting for now...

I have the original yellowish gelcoat finish on it right now. I'd like to change it to a Hatteras white or something. Taxes are coming up so I need to look at an option plan. I want to post pictures, rest assured. ;)
